Carolina Beach is easily accessible by car, bus, plane or boat. You'll find  it's easy to get to and easily navigable once you're here.

Carolina Beach is located 14 miles from Wilmington, which is centrally located on the East Coast, midway between New York and Florida.  The major east/west interstate artery I-40 leads to Wilmington, which is also served by U.S. highways 17,74,/76, 117 and 421. Follow I-40 Eastbound to US-117 S/N College Road. Continue onto south College Road to US-421 south Carolina Beach Road.

This city marina, located off the ICW (marker 296) at the southern end of the channel in Carolina Beach, is dedicated to fishing charter and party boats. Eight (8) transient slips are available to the public (free for up to 3 hours) for non-commercial boats under 25'. Mooring in the marina is tight. Major Interstate arteries are I-40 & I-95 but other popular routes include Highways 17, 74/76, & 117. Merge into 421 South and turn left onto Carl Winner Drive.

The Town of Carolina Beach has 325 metered parking spaces as well as 16 parking lots with close to 700 spaces. Carolina Beach does not offer pay-by-phone parking.  SP+ Parking is responsible for ticket issuance, ticket payments, appeals, as well as, meter collection and maintenance. After 7pm parking is free.  Parking fees restart at 8:00 AM in all of the Town's parking lots and parking meters.  Parking for more than 24 hours at a time is not permitted. All parking spaces designated "Handicap" spaces are free with the display of a handicap parking placard. Visitors may also park in a non-handicap space. The fee is waived so long as a handicap pass is displayed. Pet FAQs
All dogs are required to be on a leash at all times. Dogs are allowed on the beach town limits from October 1st to March 31st. You must have on your person at all times, a plastic or paper container that can be used to clean up and contain dog waste until it can be disposed of in an appropriate container. This container must be produced and shown, upon request, to anyone authorized to enforce this ordinance. Mike Chappell Park - 501 S Dow Rd, Carolina Beach has a fenced dog park.

Freeman Park Pet Regulations:  Dogs are required to be on a leash from April 1st to September 30. From October 1st to March 31, dogs are allowed off a leash so long as they remain under voice command and the owner is within a reasonable distance from the pet.
